Shared Living Services

Sunrise Opportunities offers Shared Living homes throughout Washington County.  Shared Living is an option for people who have an intellectual disability or autism and are eligible to receive services under Section 21 or 29 of MaineCare.  Either the person moves into the Shared Living Provider’s home or the Shared Living Provider moves into the person’s home.  The Shared Living Provider is trained as a Direct Service Provider (DSP) and provides 24 hour care to the person.  There can only be one person per Shared Living Provider home.
