Community/Work Support Services

Sunrise Opportunities offers Community and Work Support Services throughout Washington County.  Please contact Troy for areas to the north of the county (Pembroke to Eagle Lake) and Rob for areas to the south of the county (Edmunds to Steuben).  Whatever your interests are we do our best to make things happen for you.  These services are designed around you and can be provided in small groups and one on one.  We have three Centers for anyone who enjoys getting together with their peers.  These are:  Frank Beckett Center in Calais, Sunrise Community Connections in Machias and Sunrise Community Connections in Milbridge.  Our programs are designed to provide community integration activities.  We are proudly involved with summer, winter and basketball Special Olympics.  We go on overnight and camping trips throughout Maine and St. Stephen, Canada.  We adventure to aquatic centers in St. Stephen and the swimming pool at University of Maine, Machias.  If you like the outdoors you may be interested in our Gator Program or just going for a ride on a 4 person ATV.  If you enjoy sports we attend events locally and throughout the State of Maine.  You will get to meet new people and experience new things.  If you like crafts and art project we have a large selection available.  Our staff is friendly and experienced and will ensure  that your experience is a great one. The cost of most events is FREE!

Work Support Services are provided throughout Washington County and designed to help you when you are working in the community.  We help you identify areas where you may need some on the job help and assist you in meeting your employment goals.
